Grammar questions(2):

上面的回答者的答案仍有問題,因為他們又用past又用present tense,很混亂.在同一篇文章應該用同一式,如果是指現在的,應用past tense;除非有涉及過去的事情,才用past tense.
(1)I never washedmy hair for years.
不應這樣寫,這句應是用past perfect tense(過去完成式):
(一)因為你用一詞'for',是用於perfect tense的.
(二)因為你現在所有的是過去式
所以應寫成 ’I had not washed my hair for years.’

(2)I wanted to train the monkeys,although they were retired.
應該用’had retired',這是指他們到了過往的這段時間都是退役狀態的．
不應用’ were retired’，’ retired’本身已有’使退役’的意思，用 ’were retired’則會有重覆意思，變成了’被人使退役’之意
所以全句應寫成'I wanted to train the monkeys,although they had retired.'

（３）I did some crazy thing else.
你所指的是一件事,還是數件事;如只有一件,則沒有問題;
但如你想表達做其他數件'Crazy'的事,就請用'Crazy
things'.

(4)It was my dream that one day he would...
請問你的'he'是指那一位,你如不在文中解釋一下是誰.別人不會明你所指的'he'到底是誰.是不是在說自己,如果是請用回'I'

(5)全文就變成:
I had not washed my hair for years.I wanted to train the monkeys,although they had retired.It was my dream that one day I would own the first GREAT UPSIDE DOWN MONKEYCIRCUS in the world.I did some crazy thing(s) else.
