I have learnt piano up to grade 7 and I have been using classic piano.
Now I study abroad and live in a small room.
The place is too tiny for a classic piano.
I thus wanna buy a portable one. Should I buy a digital piano?
I afraid that digital pianos would differ from the classic ones a lot( e.g. the sound and feeling)
What kind of piano can mimic the classic ones best?
Any recommendation?
What are the difference between contemporary piano and stage piano?
THANKS~~

As far as I know, the best solution to substitute a piano is digital piano.

But if I were you, I prefer rent a classical piano instead of buy a digital piano, especially when you are already in grade 7. All the techniques you need to play in higher grade cannot be fulfilled by a digital piano. Maybe you can try one in piano shops to see if you can accept a digital one.

The major difference between the digital piano and the normal piano is the touch when you are playing them. Besides, piano can provide the tonal quality that the digital one cannot be provided. However, it is still good to buy the digital piano as the place is not enough for the real piano.
