KMnO4滴定oxalic acid

1.The rate of reaction between oxalic acid and permanganate is slow initially. However,
as reactin proceeds, the reaction become fast.Explain this phenomenon.

2.Why potassium permanganate cannot serves as a primary standard.

3. 除左speed up the rate,用 energy level explain why to heat the oxalic acid behore titration

Q.1 Some people say that both permanganate ions and oxalic ion bears negative charge so the repulsion between them slow down the reaction. (collision theory)

Q.2 Potassium permanganate is so reactive that it will decompose in air. It means the concentration is not stable upon storage, so it cannot be a primary standard.

Q.3 You can use the Arrenhuis equation k = A to the power (-Ea/RT)
As temperature increases, the rate constant increases.

I hope it help and I like hard working pupils!!!
