$5400 is divided among three persons: A, B and C. A gets twice the amount of B, while C gets $600 more than 3 times B's amount. How much does each of them get?

Let X be the money which A gets.X + (X / 2) + [ (X / 2) * 3 + 600 ] = 5400
2X + X + 3X + 1200 = 10800
6X = 10800 - 1200
6X = 9600
X = 1600
THEREFORE, A GETS $1600 ,
B GETS : X / 2
= 1600 / 2
= $ 800
C GETS : (X / 2) * 3 + 600
= ( 1600 / 2 ) * 3 + 600
= 800 * 3 + 600
=2400 + 600
= $ 3000
