In the old day, you could do it. But, majority of display card today uses surface mount, so, there is no way to do it. Also, their design has no room for further expansion, so, you could not add ram on display card.
However, if your display card is on-board type, you could share more ram to display card via BIOS setting. In this case, your ram for software will be reduced.
