when you are working on academic writing, please do not use contractive forms e.g. I can't... should use I cannot. Better not use informal / slang / icq languages. e.g. I dunno ... should write I do not know.
you can use pronouns.
you can use a lot of phrases apart from it seems that...
you can use phrases for sequencing: first, and then, in sum
phrases to show contrast: however, on the other hand, quite the contrary
you can point our your own opinion: I think, I understand that, I strongly believe...

你的問題要看你是寫甚麼類型的學術性文章。若你要寫研究報告，那麼你便要按著你在做實驗或找參考時所得到的資料以客觀的角度去分析。若你是寫閱讀報告或評論，你就可以加入多一點自己的見解。除了低俗的字，沒有甚麼字是不可以用的。代名詞當然可以用。文章的時態多會是現在式和過去式。
