I put soy sauce, shredded carrots, frozen peas and chopped celery. Sometimes I add mushrooms. I just add the veggies to the water before it boils and the soy after it is all done and drained.

I've only ever had ramen in soup, and that is delicious, with loads of added soy sauce

I don't eat ramen noodles very often, but when I do, I put a little bit of butter, use only about 1/4 of the season packet, and add some of those crispy chow-mein or lo-mein noodles. I like the difference in texture, soft with crispy.
I will certainly try the honey sometime, I love honey!!

I have tried Mrs. Dash & that's quite good. Also I have put coffee mate in them & that is excellent. Another good thing to put in them is cheese that comes in a cup. I have done all 3 together & it is really good, seriously, you should try it!

Tonight for supper I scrambled some eggs, then poured them into boiling water. Then I added the ramen noodles. After it was almost all the way done, I added frozen imitation crab meat. Then I drained the water off, and added the seasoning, and added some milk and some margarine, and added some black pepper. Yum!

usually just a little cheese...but here are all of the things that I've heard of........

Chopped up boiled eggs
Bacon Bits
Tuna fish
Hot Dogs
brocolli
Chicken
garlic, soy sauce
salmon
crabmeat
shrimp
beef chips

Really the good thing about Ramen noodles is that they are a base for almost everything...anything can go in them and they are absolutely great...some people like 'em soupy, some like 'em mushy like oatmeal...you can make your own meal with Ramen noodles and you dont have to cook 'em the same way twice...when your in college they will keep you nourised and as a kid they were known as "oodles of noodles"....I tell you....they were the good ole days... I could probably do a commercial for Ramen Noodles I've had so many packs in my lifetime, and its great for hangovers too.........

Cook 'em up. Drain off all the liquid. In a frying pan, put some butter and some soy sauce, then some little chopped up things like broccoli or carrots, onions, some chicken or left over steak in little cubes, mushrooms, raw green beans, spinach, whatever veggies you like. After you've sauteed those for awhile, put the ramen noodles in and stir fry them. It's ok if some of the ends get a little brown and chewy. Mmmmmmm good.

Never heard of anyone using honey on ramen -- I'll have to give that a try!

I like to add bits of ham or a few left-over shrimp, plus a dash of teryiaki sauce. If I have any left over veggies like broccoli or cauliflower, I toss that in, too.

Ramen. . .food of the gods! ;-)

Egg and hotdog sausage. Yummy.

But try not to eat too much ramen noodles; they're not healthy.

ramen is n-a-s-t-y. the only flavor i could ever even stand was the oriental, which is a very politically incorrect name for a flavor.
2006-10-27 5:47 am
good question, i like adding some cooked broccoli.
