UDP and IP are on different levels of the OSI stack and corresponds to other protocols like TCP and ICMP.

I actually have no idea what any of this means. The phrase 'reinventing the wheel' springs to mind.

UDP is faster and some program use UDP only like Photoshop or streamed stuff...
