i absolutely diagree because i believe the fuction of a school is to pass knowledge and values to students. if you want your students to strive towards an aim like raising funds for renovating the school hall, i am sure students are willing to do it if they love their school. yet, if the fund-raising activties are held too often, a wrong message may be conveyed. students may think that money is the most important in the world. what are the main duties of students? is helping schools to raise funds the main duty they should perform??? why should schools raise funds COMMERCIALLY? schools should have confidence that when they need money, students will help if they have sense of belonging. if not, students may only hate school more and more as they can never fulfil the demand from schools.
