while & when,,點分呀??

I suggest some of the situations for using the two words.

(1) When used as an conj. meaning當...的時候,和...同時, 在那時, can use either of them;
e.g. She listened closely when/while he read the letter. 當他讀信的時候, 她聽得很仔細。

(2) When used as an adj. or pron. meaning 什麼時候, use {when};
e.g. When did you last see Margaret? 你上一次見到瑪格麗特是什麼時候?

(3) When used as a conj. meaning 雖然,儘管, use {While};
e.g. While I like the color of the hat, I do not like its shape. 雖然我喜歡這頂帽子的顏色,但我不喜歡它的形狀。

(4) When used as a conj. meaning而,然而, use {while};
e.g. I like tea while she likes coffee. 我喜歡喝茶,而她喜歡喝咖啡。
