1. Q: " I am pleased with your work, boys," Uncle Ray said.
A1: Uncle Ray said that he was pleased with their work. /
A2: Uncle Ray told the boys that he was pleased with their work.

I do not not know which is the correct answer. Please help me , if you know the answer.
