Travelling to Paris and London with a lone

I was travelling to Paris from London then back to London with HKSAR passport last year in February. There was emigration gates in London before you're on broad of Eurostar, and there was immigration gates in Paris.

Thus you have to present your passport to the officers but the checking will not be very a very detail one. Actually immigration check doesn't take much time even when you're taking plane. The time consuming stuff is custom and security check, but in the Eurostar case it is a bit easier than taking plane. So you may make your check up 30-45 mins before the train goes, think it should be enough.

For the max stay, usually it is 90 days. France and UK do not require travelling visa for SAR passport holders, you may enter and exit the country freely within 90 days.

You will be given a conditional stay once you arrive Paris/France. If you are going to UK afterwards, then you have to check out/in at Paris, i.e. before you board EuroStar. There will not be any immigration service at Waterloo Station. But you have to leave EU within the period.

Yes, just check in at the Immigration service before you board the Eurostar. Then just walk towards the exit when you arrive UK.There will be immigration service when you go out of UK, i.e. back to HK or France.
