1(a)The resistance of a wire is 5 units in ice and 6 units in steam. Its resistance becomes 7 units when heated by a flame.
The calculation:
T=a-b/c-b X 100 = 7-5/6-5 X 100 = 2/1 X 100 = 200 degree C

(b) State the assumption in your calculation.
How to answer this question (1b)?

1(a)The resistance of a wire is 5 units in ice and 6 units in steam. Its resistance becomes 7 units when heated by a flame.
The calculation:
T=(a-b)/(c-b)x100 = (7-5)/(6-5)x100 = (2/1)x100 = 200℃
(b) State the assumption in your calculation.
假設導線的電阻在這溫度的範圍內,它的電阻受熱是均勻地增加。

assume the resistance of the material is direct proportional to the temperature.

Reason: there coefficient of resistance relayed to temperature is constant. Thus, the realationshop of resistance and temperature is assumed to be a stright line in the graph.

You could find it form high level physics' book, the relation of them isn't direct for experimental result. Actually, that's a curve.
