tilt ur head to the side and jump up and down, u'll look kind of funny but it usually helps. if that doesnt work, u can buy eardrops at places like walmart that dry out water in ur ears

for future reference,
get some earplugs, the speedo ones which are £3 or something are fine - comfortable and they save you having all that chloriated water glugging around your eardrum.

You have ear wax. That's why you can't get the water out.

after you go swimming take a cuetip with rubbing alchohol and swish it in your ear, if it gets really bad get swimmers ear stuff.

i get swimmers ear all the time and the doc made up a recipe for me it is half vinegar and half rubbing alcohol. the mixture will evaporate the water and keep the mold that causes swimmers ear from growing in the canal. hope this helps.

You don't need to do anything as it will just naturally clear itself. After all, if you syringe ears out (with water), you clear them, not block them. However, if your ears feel blocked for ages after swimming or bathing then they're probably clogged up with wax and the only way to find out is to have your GP examine them.

NEVER put anything inside your ear (eg Qtips) as that is the surest way to damage the eardrum or the canal lining.

Qtips can be our best friend but use them carefully because ears are very delicate. Every once in a while I will clean out my ears with a little diluted Hydrogen Peroxide, but be extra sure to use dry Qtips after to dry the ear canal. A little mineral oil is sometimes soothing as well. Get better!!

If its just one ear, lying on that side will let it drain out.

theres a product called swim ear, it basically pushed the water out then evaporates

metholated spirits...................................it works, they use it in hospitals

I know that you will think that i'm "crazy" but the best thing to use is a good quality after shave, the spirit will dispel the water.
It will not hurt you i've been doing it for years, i was given this tip by a ENT, surgeon at my local hospital many years ago.
