想買部notebook 去外國讀書用

1) I suggest you to buy big brands such as Lenovo, Toshiba, HP/Compaq. As long as they have International warranty. For my opinion, I dont suggest DELL. Because in my shop (Im working in computer shop), there are too many problems with DELL laptop. Besides, the parts are only from DELL and very expensive if you repair after warranty period. No matter which brand, please consider to get extended international warranty as well!! It is worth and can make your laptop last longer.

2) where you go? Because in some countries, buying from there is better than in HK. Like Sydney in Australia, the price of laptop is actually very close to HK. But of course, if you never be there, get it from HK~

3) Most of the laptops nowadays have wireless connectivity. You may consider other functions such as DVD burner, IEEE port (for DV), the size of screen (smaller means lighter, not too heavy for carrying).

4) I'm using Compaq, it is very good service and stable.

You can get assistance/warranty globally if you purchase 3 year warranty.

I will suggest you to buy DELL notebook as it will also include wireless LAN card and you can be onlined easily if you seek a services provider in the foreign country. HKD6k is the budget price for that.
