able = one´s ability to do sth, more stative and using for a specific situation
Enable = one´s action in contorl of /authorize sth to happened, it´s more active, and in one´s accessibility, it allows some expected situation to occur

eg. He is able to finish all work. (OK) express his ability.He is enabled to finish all work. (Boo) does not make sense coz enable usually means something make/allow something happened. OK only when the -he- refers to a robot that accepts control commands...
