I can tell you more about it. Just tell you my brackgroup and make you feel confidence about my suggetion. I have been many place around New Zealand both south and north island. Bay of Island, Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, Nelson, Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, Mt. Cook, Dunedin, Wanaka, Queenstown, Te Anua, Invercargill, Southern Scenic Route these major and good town.

In North Island.
Bay of Island: Ninety Miles Beach

Auckland: Sky Tower, Sky City(Casino), Harbour Bridge, Mission Bay. Auckland Museum. I personally like mission bay and Museum

Rotorua: The place that must go. few important place to go in rotorua, Wai-o-tapu Thermal Park,

Taupo: Lake Taupo is must go, Huka Falls. I'm not sure about activities, check it out with the local i-SITE

Wellington: no natural attraction, but Te Papa is a must go museum, Mt. Victoria (night time)

Waitomo: I hvnt been this place yet, but planning to go this Christmas. There is a famous grow-worm cave, which is worth to be in your trip.

South Island
Nelson: Nice beach and famous national park (Abel Tasman National Park) many people enjoy 3 - 5 days tramping in this national park (one of the Great Walk).

Mona Vale, 一個好出名嘅Rose Garden. 我自己好鐘意去.
Cathedral Square 係一定要去嘅地方, 個度有間好靚嘅教堂.
Botanic Gardens 係city嘅一個garden, 好大嘅花園
Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu, 我去過一次, 裡面好靚, 但係要鐘意睇art先去, 唔係會好悶.
Willowbank Wildlife Reserve, 呢個係最正嘅一個.
仲有其他地方好似, New Brighton, Sumner咁.
好多時都有market係Cathedral Square同Arts Centre Te Pokapū Toi o Ōtautahi. 都好多嘢睇吓.

Lake Tekapo, Mt. Cook, Twizel: Lake Tekapo is a really famous and beautiful lake in New Zealand. Mt. Cook is a extreme beautiful alpine area. Famous attraction is Kea Point (2 hrs return), Hooker Valley (4 hrs return), Tasman Valley, all have glacier lookout point. Mt Cook always have unexpected storm. Twizel is a nice and small township. winter time, the twon is just like a picture

Dunedin, university town, famous university, Otago University located in this city. one attraction point is clock town which is the registry building of the university. Dunedin Railway station is one of the four famous building in New Zealand. Octagon is the centre of Dunedin, some famous church you can go in this city, located in Octagon, Knox Church.
Baldwin St. is the world most steepest street, in North East Valley.
Otago Peninsula, chance to see albatross, Hoiho - the Yellow-eyed Penguin, Seal. New Zealand only one castle is located in Otago Peninsula, which is Larnach Castle

Queenstown is a must go place which is surrounding by snow mountain and beautiful. famous attraction include skyline Gondola, Walter Peak High Country Farm (must go, very good experience). excellent place for ski ( recommand ski field included Remarkable, Coronet Peak). Arrowtown, which is about 20mins drive from qtown, is a beautiful and friendly township. a must go town.

Te Anau: Lake Te Anau is really famous, and a famous Grow-worm cave is locate in here as well. If you go to Te Anau, you have to go Milford Sound as well.

Southern Scenic Route: The first scenic drive in New Zealand. Most beautiful attration point is Lake Waihola, Nugget Point, Tunnel Hill, Purakaunui Falls, Matai Falls, Cathedral Caves, McLean Falls, Florence Hill Lookout.... etc

I suggest you to think about west coast as well, as West Coast is the most Natural place in New Zealand, most of the famous Glacier such as Fox Glacier and Franz Joseph is located in West Coast.

Some of the National Park is really famous, as i mentions before, Abel Tasman National Park, the other one is Fiorldland National Park ( the largest national park in New Zealand) and the Tongariro National Park ( Activity Vocanic Area).

I have not been to all these places although I lived in New Zealand for half of my life. However, I know these are the places you must go to if you like to see the natural/un polluted side of the world:
Milford Sound
Mount Cook(better go in Winter- which means summer time in Hong Kong)
Kailoura (great seafood)
Dunedin(see the Royal Albatrosses, wildlife)
Queenstown


The Biggest cities are Auckland(North Island)
Wellington the Capital, Christchurch and Dunedin(South Island)

　　讓人印象深刻的是這裡的博物館，館裏展出的很多事物人們都是可以去觸摸、去體驗的，而不是僅僅讓人站在紅線以外去瞻仰。比如在地震館，人們可以在模擬的地震狀態中去感受地震的種種情狀，而不是僅僅看到一片廢墟。這樣的展覽讓人覺得人情味十足，博物館是真正貼近生活、貼近老百姓的。有趣的是，以突出個人成就或英雄事跡的展覽在博物館裏卻很難找到。更為難得的是，到博物館參觀的人們都能自覺維護館內的各種設施，不至於因為人們的觸摸而遭到損壞。

　　來到惠靈頓，當然還要去市內觀光。新西蘭國會大廈建築群是這裡最吸引遊客的名勝之一，每星期對外開放7天，可為遊人提供免費講解和參觀。國會大廈建築群位於惠靈頓的市中心，從這裡短程步行即可到達附近許多國家級珍貴建築，如國家檔案館、聖保羅大教堂及從前的政府大廈（該大廈為世界第二大木制建築）。

　　如果要離開市區到郊外旅行，可以十分方便地達成心願。遊客可搭乘纜車從蘭伯頓碼頭出發，很快就會到達佔地26公頃、佈滿奇花異草的植物園內。植物園裏有許多種滿土生植物的林蔭小道，在鮮花簇擁之中，漫步其間，心曠神怡。

　　惠靈頓市區附近的懷拉拉帕、馬爾堡及納爾遜等地區有景致優美的鄉村、風光迷人的海濱、開發良好的國家公園、葡萄種植園，以及設施雅致的鄉村旅館和家庭旅館，可以讓回歸自然的人士得償心願。


基督城

　　基督城是新西蘭南島的第一大城市，也是新西蘭除奧克蘭以外、來往世界各地的第二大門戶。遊客可選擇先到基督城暢遊南島，再逐步北上，從奧克蘭離境。


　　基督城處處洋溢著濃厚的英國氣息，是英國以外最具英國色彩的城市。這裡，十九世紀的典雅建築比比皆是，而到處花團錦簇、草木繁盛的景象，又為基督城贏得了“花園城市”的美譽。

　　基督城對遊客具有不可抗拒的魅力。潔凈的道路，濃濃的林蔭，雅致的環境，醇厚的文化氣息，讓人迷醉。搭上城內的懷舊電車，遊客可環回漫遊於市內主要的景點和著名標誌，如坐落於市中心的哥德式天主教堂和週邊寬敞的廣場地帶、藝術畫廊及博物館、捐軀戰士紀念碑。乘電車瀏覽市容，除了享受古樸閒適的氣氛之外，也是購物消閒的極佳選擇。

　　如果有機會，遊客還可以登上馬車，更加自由地享受休閒時光，而這種方式的懷舊氣氛則更會讓人怦然心動。走在這古樸而又充滿生機的城市中，遊人可以看到清澈的小溪，可以聽見小鳥的鳴唱，可以接受陽光、清風的撫慰，一切都是那麼的自然、和諧，甚至可以隨時隨地席地而坐，也可以走著走著就把鞋子脫掉，赤腳在大街上自由漫步，而不用擔心會被小石子劃破腳，也不用擔心會被人嘲笑，因為大家都跟你一樣。在這樣的氛圍中，心中充溢的就是明凈、健康向上的情緒。

　　基督城的建築物各具特色，古風撲面。著名的區域大廈呈現出19世紀典型的哥德式風格，即使是旅客諮詢中心那赤色古典的磚屋設計也顯得別具一格。

　　如果有時間，你可以乘上一葉扁舟，飄蕩於基督城內蜿蜒流淌的艾芳河上，自然與人文相互交融的美景便一一攝入腦海。

　　基督城的文化藝術氣息非常之濃厚，各類文化藝術活動更是層出不窮。歌劇、演奏會、芭蕾舞表演一場連著一場，其中不乏名家的精彩演出，更有地道的戶外流行音樂會及街頭男巫表演，雅俗共賞。城內還時常舉行不同類型的節慶活動，如花卉節，佳肴美食節，全國藝術節及歷史悠久的嘉年華會等。

　　基督城還是探索南極的研究中心，南極中心內展示著考察南極各組織的資料，更有模擬南極地貌氣候、生態環境的主題展覽，供人參觀。

　　從基督城出發，還可方便地到達新西蘭南島的其他名勝，如女王城（皇后鎮）、丹尼丁及庫克山等，如果你有充裕的時間，都值得前往遊覽。

【凱庫拉觀鯨】：從基督城驅車南行2小時即可到達，這裡全年都可以在近距離觀看巨大的抹香鯨，沿途還能看到海豹、海豚等動物。

【乘坐熱氣球】：基督城的熱氣球騰飛公司在每天清晨日出時，為遊客準備了乘熱氣球遊覽的 娛樂項目。大約10:00結束。

【“懷舊電車”遊城區】：沿2.5公里長的電車線路乘車在城區觀光，也是基督城的重要遊覽項目。30分鐘可以遊覽基督城藝術中心、埃特伯雷博物館、大教堂、艾芬河及 新雷珍特街。
