You can try creating a new user account and test the camera with msn. It could be conflict between msn and camera in your user account. If the camera works in new user account, you can see if you can change the user. It is the easiest way.

Otherwise, you may visit the camera company web site to get the latest driver. Or remove msn and camera software/driver and reinstall.

Few questions - what brand is the camera? Was it working with MSN before? Did you upgrade to MSN Live? Is it compatible with your current MSN? Did you change the setting of MSN or camera softeware?

Last thing, you may scan your system for virus or adware.
