乙型肝炎球蛋白 is the antibiodies direct against hepatitis B, that offer the immediate but transient immunity, but as the immunity is aquired passively (passive immunity), so there will be no long term immunity. If mother is hepatitis B carrier, then the new born should have乙型肝炎球蛋白 injection at birth to offer immedate protection.

The usual 3-dose recombinant DNA vaccine are recommended for every new born in area with high rate of hepatitis B ( eg Hong Kong). The recombinant DNA vaccine cause active, and long term immunity.
