(a)
the number of standard door produced should be greater than 0
x>=0
the number of luxury door produced should be greater than 0
y>=0
Both types of door require 1.5 hours on machines A, machine A can be used for a maximum of 20 hours
1.5x+1.5y<=20
3x+3y<=40
A standard door requires 1 hour on machine B, luxury door requires 2 hours
machine B can be used for a maximum of 25 hours
x+2y<=25
(b)
(i)it should be bounded by the 最裡面的梯形
(ii)
The company makes a profit of £10 on each standard door and £12 on each luxury door
profit=z=10x+12y
the line have been drawn on the graph, that is the line which pass through (0,12)
(the original line is wrong)
V have been indicated
(iii)
because the coordinates of V are not integer values.
x and y should be integers !
(iv)
values of x and y that will maximise the company's profit are
x=1, y=12
this profit
=10+12*12
=154
