一般而言，更換相同尺吋的車胎對車的性能不會有太大的影響，只會影響其抓著力，即高速入出彎／加速能力而已。

但如果更換了更大的輪圈（例如16寸至17寸胎），一般改變如下：
1.　刮沙板
　　如果輪胎過闊、輪圈Offset不當或是輪胎直徑過大，均會出現以上情況。
2.　震盪多了
　　因為輪圈大了，故此一般要用更闊及更薄的胎，胎壁便因此需要更硬。所以路面影響的震盪會更多。
3.　軚感變了
　　入彎的時候，軚感會變得先重後輕，而自動回軚的力度也會變弱一點。軚感和重量不會比原裝輪圈穩定。
4.　靚仔了
　　這亦是大部份車主改輪圈的原因吧！

totally agree with the answers above, but one more point, the fuel consumption will increase as well, due to more contact surface to the road , then the friction is greater, more fuel needed, the same reason as slow pull off speed!, But good looking and better cornering, is true!
