我想問Calligraphy中有一種叫Gothic的字體,我想問他的history同characteristics(可以的話請用英文作答或給我websites參考)

Brief history of Gothic
In Gothic manuscripts, versals were often used for capitals. It often used for capitals. It evolved from the Caroline miniscule, and by the 13th century, it was well established a prestigious bookhand, continuing in its many forms until the 16th century.

The Gothic hand works well with decorative capital and small letter with dense, angular storkes and diamond heads and feet. Writtwn generally at five pen widths x-height, with narrow counters(one to one and a half nib widths). The pen is held at 45 degree. Capitals are wider and rounder in shape while lower cases are narrow and angular.
