why is the spacific heat capacity of one substance in liquid state higher than that of the same substance in solid state?

It is because the space between the molecules of a substance in liquid state is larger than the space between the molecules of a substance in solid state, so it needed more heat(energy) to make the whole thing heated up(energy is transfer when the molecules are touched, as they are more apart, more energy is needed for their vibration so that the molecules will collide with each other and tranfer the energy).

Because the process of conduction in solid is greater than in liquid, solid can get the heat quickly, so the specific heat capacity of solid is lower than the same subtance in liquid.
