you can swim with contacts on and you dont need to get prescription goggles. i've been swimming competitively for 5 years and i always wear my contacts. prescription goggles are expensive, ugly and a pain in the butt
I have prescription goggles. They aren't that expensive, and you can get really cheap ones for non-prescription, in + or - up to 5 diopters correction. When your correction is built in to the goggle, it just makes life a whole lot simpler. Most swim shops carry them, and some of the swim supply shops at the pools also have them.
Get a pair of prescripted goggle; it's everywhere on the Internet. They come in negative 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and etc. Just get the nearest one.
Yes it's fine. I've been doing it for years. I can't see without my contacts so I either wear goggles or just keep my eyes closed when I go under water.
Yea its ok, I'm thinking its ok to leave them in even when you aren't wearing goggles. I do and it doesn't really bother my eyes that much and I've never lost a contact lens in the pool, I've had them for three and a half years
