Generally, big/big or small/small cations & anions are soluble whereas big/small or small/big cations & anions are insoluble. This is due to the availability to form cations and anions by breaking the ionic/covalent bonds of the compound. Hence, AgCl (big/small) is insoluble while NaCl (small/small) is soluble.
