1)A load of 77kg is distributed among Alex,Ben and Curtis,so that Alex carries 1/3 of what Ben carries, and Ben carries twice as much as curtis. What is the weight of the load that Ben carries?

Let x kg be the load Curtis is carryingx+2x+1/3(2x) = 77
11x/3 = 77
11x = 231
x = 21
The weight of the load that Ben carries
(2*21) kg
=42 kg
