Do you ever drink and drive? HONESTLY?? Why or why not?

In addition to the risk of injury to oneself or others, there are severe fines and attorney's fees, and even going to prison for vehicular manslaughter should someone get killed, driving record are damaged for a very long time, along with insurance costs, something like ten years or possibly even longer these days. The laws continue to get tougher to the point of zero tolerance and rightly so. In NY if you're charged with DWI, your car gets taken away-gone! and you're off to jail for the beginning of a very long nightmare. It is absolutely not worth taking a chance. For people that continuously do it with no incident, it's just a matter of time. In the case of going out and partying, if a designated non-drinking driver is not available, leave the car and keys at home and just make sure you have enough money set aside for a cab.

not only about killing someone, but hurting yourself. the people who drink and drive are stupid.

I don't, and why don't I? Because I like to keep my license, car, and don't want to lose my house because I hit someone. Plus I don't really like to drink.

When I first started driving, I did it once. It was really late at night. I don't know why I did it, it was definately sheer stupidity. I was lucky enough not to hurt anyone in anyway. It was the first time that I've ever done it, it was also the last time.

No I don't because I have been a trucker all my life and have seen the results of it way too often.

Honestly, I have. And I've always been okay and you would have never known. If I'm not passed out or my head isn't spinning, I can drive. I hardly drink as it is anyway.

I would not only NEVER be in the car with someone who is drinking alcolhol(I assume that is what you mean) I wouldn't get in the car with someone who has been drinking. My life is too precious to allow someone else to decide how long I will live.

If I have to drive, I will drink very little. Don't want to hurt any innocent.
