1.cervical spondylosis
頸骨刺 compressing on the nerves of C5,C6 C7.
This may be just a partial compression,with specific posture during sleep,
the hand may become numb due to pressure on the nerves.
Need to check X ray cervical spine and in severe cases,MRI spine for confirmation.
Nerve conduction studies may also be done.
2.Trainsient ischaemic attack
Due to low blood supply to the vessels of that limb during sleep ,this may agagin be due to compression of vesselsduring sleep, or transient decrease in blood supply during sleep.
Need to check for basicCBP cholesterol,HDL LDL cholesterols,triglycerides and scren for diabetes.
MRI brain of /arteriogram may need if condition persist.(This depend on whether there is any focal neurological deficiet dectected by your doctor.)
