why does the battery in my laptop only last about an hour or two i just got it 2months ago?

Call the manufacturer. The battery may be defective.

some batteries are only 1-2 hours. have u checked out how long urs can last? mine is a half-capacity one. so it only goes to 1-1 1/2 hours

They say adding memory lower energy consumption. It also depends what you are doing with the computer.
