I think introduce is good. You may ask that lady to give him some goodie food. So they can make friend.

you should introduce them. the dog is probably just curious about her. let the dog know the lady is a friend and talk with her and laugh with her while letting your dog see she's nice and you accept her as a friend.

i take it as he chases her she is running away from him. dogs can sence changes in our body,(temp etc) so are very intune with peoples moods so if she is scaird of dogs this can be one reason why also your dog may be protecting your home and as this lady runs away when he runs up to her (i asme other people dont run from your dog) the dog feels that he has done his job as the lady went away so tell her not to run. when he chaces any one tell him NO and shut him away for a while. also if your dog is allowed to roam around try to avoid the chaceing situarion by keeping him in the house/fenced graden and on the lead when out.

Also, the skin color can make African Americans appear larger and more intimadating to a dog. Futher, if your friend is scared of dogs that only enhances your dog's reaction to her. I think an introduction with the neighbor, with the dog on a leash on netural terrioty, (not on your property) will be a good a thing. If the dog shows any sign of aggression during this meeting tell him "no" and make him sit. Repeat this as many times as it takes. Remember, if he is chasing her that is not fair to her, he should be in a controlled situation at all times, like on a leash or in a fenced yard. He could end up hurting her and unfortuanely, that could mean the gas chamber for your dog if a Judge feels it is the right thing to do.

All my black friends are scared to death of dogs they don't know, maybe she is afraid and the dog senses the fear.

i doubt very much that your dog recognizes the differences in the races,only mankind can fess up to that.
i would suggest introducing your dog,perhaps the poor lady is scared,believe it or not dogs can sense fear,this may be what is makeing your dog chase
