Actually, do NOT run and grab your toothbrush after every time you drink soda. The acid in the soda makes them more susceptible to toothbrush abrasion for a while, like 30-60 minutes or so. Rinsing vigorously with plain water is better than brushing after drinking soda.
I don't know if this really makes much difference, but I've heard that some people let a lot of the bubbles go out of the soda before they drink it. They feel that this gets rid of a lot of the acid content, but I can't verify it. You can do the research and then tell us about it.
