why do soccer players lift their shirts over their faces/heads when they score a gooooooooaaaaaaaaaalllllllll?

DUHHHHHHHHHHHH......... so us females can admire their sexy ABS why else would they do it!!!!!

my favourite part is when the game is over and players from both team exchange their shirts...that is really hot...lol.
i saw lampard twice did that...and i always cant help myself from laugh out of fascinated...hahaha

Most of the players would like to take the jersey off after scoring a goal to show off the muscles and how mighty he was, but a yellow card would be awarded. I think it is just a way to balance out not to get a yellow card and at the same time to show off the muscles - they lift the jerseys over their faces.

I was told they do that as if to say "The goalie never saw it coming!". I'm not 100% sure though.
