Why every 4 years? Wouldn't it be better to play the World Cup every year?

No, it would be boring if World Cup is hold every year.
and there's not enough time for any host nation to prepare/promote the event and provide good facilities,accommodation, and traffic.
Plus, footballers will be exhausted to death if there's world cup every year.

Its impossible. Qualifying takes longer rhan a year. You must also realize that the players are not machines. Usually they get to rest after the champions league..now they have to play a month longer. If world cup was every year all players would burn-out after a year!

and... the players will never have the time to play for their clubs anymore

waitin for 4 years seems painful to everyone but it would've not if u consider what's going on between that 4 years..
there will be other exciting competitions every year..including the confederations cup, copa america, Euro 2008, African cup, olympic games and so on..
u know it's not easy to set up such a high competition like world cup..it's almost impossible to make it every year because there would not be enough time for qualifying matches and other preparations..in fact, i think u would be boring to see the same competition every year..dont u think its great to have different tournaments every year?

No it would become stale as many people above have said - also it would be impossible to run this every year - there would not be time for the qualifying matches, it wouls also clash with other regional finals, African cup, Asian Cup, European Cup, etc.

There is the european cup my friend that came between the world cup!!!!.but i know that this the best competition

I totally agree--it is so hard to wait 4 years. At least we have the Euro cup to hold us over while we're waiting.

and also Teams have time to be changed and become young again ! and so many other reasons ! ...

No. That's what makes it special. Teams have to qualify and wait till their next chance. Don't forget that there are many big tournaments that lead up to every WC (eg Euros)
