Girls, what does it feel like to be dancing for hours in your "prom" shoes and what can boys do to help?

Hello, a school ball is coming up (like your "prom", but we don't call it that here) and my best friend asked me to go with her. So I need to do a little preparation!

What does it feel like for you girls to be dancing for hours in your "prom shoes"? I asked my friend what she will be wearing and she said 3 inch high sandals (wow, she'll be taller than me O.O).

That must be very uncomfortable, right?

And what can we boys do to help?

Um, short of carrying her because I'm not that strong! I can surprise her with a pair of slippers or something like that though. Will she appreciate that? Anything else I can do to help?

Yep, they're very uncomfortable and hurt a lot! They make your leg muscles feel really tight! The might make the balls of your feet sore too, but I'm used to that because I tiptoe barefoot a lot.

Yes, I guess slippers are nice! Just ask her what colour her dress is so you can get slippers in matching colours. And if you want my two cents, flip-flops do NOT go well with prom dresses. Now, that's just tacky :p

You might want to ask her though. Definitely don't force her to put on the slippers but you can offer them to her when she starts showing signs of fatigue. And if she prefers to be barefoot and forego the slippers, let her.

Someone said to massage her feet, well, if you have to, do it AFTER the dance is over and somewhere else. Or else you two would look really weird :p

You're very sweet, you know?

Awwww, You are so sweet.. She is a lucky young lady..
Those shoes are torture... They hurt your feet.. BAD

You could maybe take your shoes off and then she will feel OK to take hers off.. I think You are the bee`s knee`s.. ( a honey)

I promise that anything you do for her like that will be more than appreciated..

God bless and Hugs from Texas.. {:-)

Yes, those shoes hurt. I wear 7 inch shoes for work. The best thing that you can do is buy her a cool pair of flip flops that match her dress. To make them extra special, dress the flops up with flowers that match her corsage or just buy them that way. Be sure to tell her how great she looks in the heels first, but also tell her that she doesn't have to wear them all night, because you know that they hurt. Then you can surprise her with the flip flops!

flip flops or slippers sounds great!!

slippers is a sweet idea but she may get the wrong idea. She chose to wear 3inch heels. The best thing you can do is Not to step on her toes

All girls go into the prom thinking they will be able to wear their shoes the whole time but i would say more than half have to take them off by the end of the night bc they get to be so painful. I think if you brought some little slippers for her that she would probably be really surprised and maybe think it's silly at first until her feet start to hurt and then she will thank you....lol

I doesn't hurt if you're use to your shoes. My feet were fine. Certainly isn't an excuse not to dance!
3inches is pretty low I preffer more like 6 inches, prop me UP

It hurts! She'll probably end up barefoot by the end of the night, so I think it would be really nice to surprise her with a nice pair of slippers that match her dress. Maybe the kind of comfy slippers that look like ballet shoes?
If you're really good friends, a foot massage would be nice, with some special relaxing aromatherapy foot lotion.

I agree. 90% of girls who wear high heels will be barefoot by the end of the night. I wore a pair of platform boots to my prom but then again, my date was wearing almost the exact same boots.

And not to mention the duct tape corsage...LOL

suck her toes and massage her feet.
