Would you like to go on a treasure hunt？ If you do, then you should try geocaching. This popular new activity lets people feel like modern pirates.
A geocache is a box full of treasure. But there is no money or jewelry in
it. There might be a camera, some CDs or toys. People look for this treasure.
When they find it, they can take some things out. But they must also put some
new things in. These new things are for the next person to find.
Geocachers don’t need a map to find the treasure. They use a global positioning
system, or a GPS. A GPS is a receiver that talks with satellites in space. The satellites
tell the GPS exactly where a place is on Earth. At first only airplane and boats used
a GPS. But now anybody can use it. People can use a GPS to find a treasure
