Cold sores are a form of herpes. I get them bad. She needs to get proper medication and it is advisable to see a doctor or at least a pharmicist to get a proper cream.
The cold sores are small blisters were infection attacks the nerve endings around the skin. If its not treated quickly, scares could result from the damage.
Aloe Vera will not help as you need a cold sore cream that contains aciclovir.
Your friend should keep a stock of this at all times because once you get a cold sore you always have the virus and it can reappear at any time due to bright sunlight, bad health... many reasons.
Good luck
To be thoroughly straight forward, I study an editorial that led me to attempt an ICE dice. that is it! stick to an ice dice to the sore some situations an afternoon and it is going away. Going even extra, in case you adjust your eating routine round somewhat, you received't even get chilly sores anymore. i tried this recommendation some months in the past and it has worked completely.
Anything that doesn't go away after a few days is something you should most definitely go see a doctor about. It probably is a bacterial infection on your skin. You could try neosporin ointment on it but if it's been around for weeks, it probably needs presciption antibiotic ointment (something like bactroban). As others have pointed out, it could also be herpes, which definitely needs to be treated by a doctor. It is an extremely bad idea to let something like this go without seeing a doctor about it. Also, if it is herpes, you can most definitely infect someone through kissing or oral sex. Since herpes infection are more or less permanent, that's a bad thing.
It seems your friend got a bacterical infection.
Tell your friend to go to doctor; it's probable she 'll have to take antibiotics.
Hope this help

It's a form of herpes. It's brought on by stress or changes in the body. Caffeine is good for helping them. Abreva works awesome!!!!! But you have to apply it at the first tingle! Once they hit, there's nothing you can do but suck it up! Don't pop them, it can be spread to other parts of the body! Don't drink after your friend for a few weeks after it heals, they are highly contagious! Once they do burst, peroxide works well to dry them out and helps prevent infection. They do hurt and they are so embarrassing! Look it up on line, there are web sites that can give you better information.
If it hasn't gone away in a few weeks she needs to go to the Emergency Room. If it is not plain Herpes Virus Simplex I, then it could be some other flesh eating disease, like Lieshmaniasis, although that would be highly unlike since that is usually from "Sand Flies" in underdeveloped countries, but you never know nowadays. She should really have that looked at by a professional. Oh yeah, tell her to stop kissing those nasty boys or girls.
