It is very difficult to get a job in Barbados if you are not a national. The job openings go first to those who live there, no matter how qualified someone from the outside is. It's not impossible, but it definitely will take some work. The pay scale is low, and Barbados is very expensive. If you are from the US and are accustomed to things like car, material possesions and such...keep in mind if you purchase them there, it is almost double when you get them there. 100% VAT (taxes and fees) on cars, groceries are ridiculous, clothes are expensive... If you have 3 children, keep that in mind, but their education system is good. I love Barbados, but I know it's not the easiest transition for most people who have never lived there. A lot of people I know last only a short period before moving back home(unless they have family there). Good luck though, I intend to try it out sometime.

All police departments in my section bid shifts in accordance with seniority so speaking with the supervisor and explaining your difficulty won't be an selection. additionally, some artwork 5 days on, 4 days off, some do 3 on 3 off, 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts... there's an excellent form of shift schedules... all could be found out via a speedy call to the dep. you're pondering. in case you're making the alternative and get so a approaches as some interviews you need to use the single mom component on your benefit. It specific takes somebody with actual committment to the job to take that bounce as a single mom. that's hard until you get to appreciate people yet as quickly as you're somewhat greater usual, communicate with fellow officers... I surely have alot of companions that have stay at living house better halves which would be searching for some greater money to feed your infants and placed them to mattress once you're working... in case you extremely need it, something is available, only understand there are going to be sacrifices to be made! Shift artwork is complicated on a physique and as a infant of a cop and a cop myself now, i understand that's complicated on a kinfolk. It sucked whilst my dad replaced into the only one no longer at my softball interest, yet i replaced into relating to the proudest infant on the block whilst he replaced into in a position to make it... and he could have accomplished some thing ideal 'reason i'm following ideal in his footsteps :)

Migrating to the caribbean is not an easy task, it is even harder when kids are involved, Barbados is one of the caribbean countries that do not welcome immigrants, the legal system thereis tough, preference is always given to their own people in terms of jobs, outsiders are not lucky with obtaining jobs, not even their own caribbean brothers and sisters, Good luck!!!!!

Your opportunities should be excellent. Barbados has a lot of people with money living there, and last I heard, they are looking to build a hospital for themselves. They are not satisfied with the current one that's there. So they might be in need of good nurses.

The schools are quite excellent too, and the locals are well-educated, though some racists may not think the same way. They are much better than American ones, though probably not as pretty and dressed up.
