The only thing you can do is get from another computer. Call a friend and have them email it to you as an attachment. It's found in the C:\Windows directory.
It usually means you are having Hard Disk problems.
Click on Start, then Run, and type in "Chkdsk /r" without the quotes,then OK.
You will have to shut down and restart for chkdsk to run.
The other thing to try is to fix your Master Boot Record, but you could lose everything doing that.
Put your XP CD in and boot it up, then when it asks you, you want to "Install Recovery Console" as a boot-up option.
When the Recovery Console boots the machine, it's like a DOS window. You fix the Master Boot Record here. Just type HELP to see all of the commands. I think it's MBRFix or something like that.
