Do certain record companies restrict artist from itunes?

I cant find certain songs on itunes example: Karma Police-Radio Head

Also, Some singles arent available you have to buy the album example: Dashboard confessional - Vindicated: You have to purchase the spider man soundtrack if you want it from itunes
