Well of course the baby is from the magical lost city of Atlantis! How fortunate you are! Scientists will pay you hundreds of dollars to have your child show them where its ancient home is! You won't feel so fortunate during labor when you try and pass the gills through your vagina though. Ouch! And by "your," I mean your ex wife.

If the mother is American, the baby must be American no matter where's the baby born.

There is 2 ways that this could be

1) If she was an American Airlines, it will be deamed American. If it was on Air Canada, it will be Canadian and if it on Air Lingus, it will be deamed Australian.

2) If the parents are Indian, it will be Indian; if the parents are Peruviun, it will be Peruviun.
If one parent in British and the other Ethiopean, expect a court battle.

Well they won't usually let a woman fly on a commercial plane if she is 36+ weeks along. And if she flew before that and went into spontaneous labor while in the plane, they would land the plane because the baby would be a preemie and would need a hospital ASAP.

And if they landed at the nearest hospital where the baby would actually be born, then it just depends on what country that hospital is in. Some countries you can be born there but aren't that nationality, you keep the nationality of your parents. The USA you just have to be born here or have American parents.
