what is lomo?

Lomo is a russian brand of camera. Lomography.com is hyping this camera out and overpricing it.

the Lomo LCA is a copy of the Cosina CX and CX2. This is a tough camera built with bakelite material and has a few manual settings. it is basically a point and shoot camera built pre-90's

nowadays it has been marketed as a way of life via Lomography.com

I personally have a Lomo LCA and love it. I bought it brand new for $99 at a local store here.

I suggest using a 100ASA slide film with this camera and have the negatives cross processed. and you will be amazed at the results.

It's a Lomo Kompakt Automat,a mass-produced Soviet camera.
